Steering Wheel Locks Give-a-way

In an effort to combat rising Hyundai vehicle thefts, the University Park Police Department, in partnership with Hyundai Motor America, will give away free steering wheel locks to University Park community members that own or lease a Hyundai manufactured before 2021. University Park community members that live in University Park are eligible.

Community members must come to the University Park Police Station, 650 Burnham Dr., at their scheduled time and will be required to bring their Hyundai along with proof of University Park residency and proof of valid village sticker before being issued a steering wheel lock. The limit is one lock per community member. A scheduled appointment is required and there is a limited supply of steering wheel locks. While supplies last.
