The
University Park Association for
Youth Baseball and Softball (UPAYBS)
has been playing baseball and
softball in University Park for
over 25 years, teaching boys and
girls four to fourteen how to
play the game. Many of you can
remember playing little league
baseball in your youth, whether
in University Park or in some
other league. You know the value
of cooperation and competition
that comes from team sports. You
know the importance of quality
activities for developing responsible
young adults. We are inviting
you to participate as a sponsor
for the 2008 baseball and softball
season.
Beyond
the positive business exposure
and increased business potential
that you gain, you have the chance
to make a positive impact on our
community’s youth. In 2007,
we had over 100 participants and
expect a 25% increase in 2008.
The league has been successful
because our team of dedicated
parents and seasoned coaches commit
their time on a 100% volunteer
basis to make this program possible.
We are a 501 c3 non-profit organization
committed to delivering the best
possible experience in sportsmanship,
athleticism and competition in
a safe environment. We believe
that the attainment of exceptional
athletic skill or the winning
of games is secondary to the molding
of future citizens.
Our
modest budget is covered in large
part by concession sales and registration
fees, which we keep affordable
to encourage full participation.
Even so, we waive registration
fees when needed because we believe
every kid should have the opportunity
to play. In order to help with
costs of team uniforms, transportation,
and fees for various tournaments
we rely on individuals and companies
such as yours for financial support.
We would like to thank you in
advance for helping our organization
in its fundraising efforts. We
will be happy to answer any questions
you may have or to provide you
with a receipt for tax purposes.

for special events, equipment
(gloves, bats, bases, baseballs
etc.), raffle prizes or
auction items.

be published in our current
season Souvenir Program.
