Voter Services
Duties of the Village Clerk
The Village Clerk is University Park's local election official. The office of the Village Clerk works closely with the office of Cook County Clerk David Orr and Will County Clerk Nancy Schultz Vootz to determine accessible polling locations. The Clerk also:
  • Functions as deputy registrar to register votes
  • Conducts in-person absentee voting prior to each election
  • Certifies results from all referenda and local elections

Voter Registration
Residents of Suburban Cook County and Will County can register to vote at the Village Hall Office Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Voter registration closes 28 days prior to an election and reopens two days after election day by Illinois law.

Registration is necessary for anyone who has moved to University Park or within University Park. To be qualified to register to vote, you must be a U.S. citizen at least 18 years of age by the date of the next election and must have resided in the precinct at least 30 days prior to the date of the election.

How to Register
Registration is best conducted in person. Two forms of identification are required, one of which must show the registrant's address. Acceptable forms of ID include a driver's license, a utility bill in the applicant's name, an identification from the registrant's school/work or public assistance, a printed checkbook with the registrant's name and residence address, birth certificate, or mail postmarked to the registrant's current address from a federal, state, or city agency, utility, etc. Registration can be done by mail application, but the voter must vote in person, not absentee.

Mail registration to:
