Career
Shift Personnel
This
section is dedicated in loving
memory of
Firefighter / Paramedic Phil Brady
June 19, 1964 – August
10, 2004
Firefighter
/ Paramedic Phillip E. Brady,
“Phil” was a member of the University
Park Fire Department for more
than 6 years and truly an asset
to the department and the Village
of University Park.
He
was dedicated to making a difference
in the lives of everyone he came
in contact with, young and old,
and was sometimes referred to
as the Fire Department’s official
“unofficial” spokesman.
We
feel the influences of his dedicated
life will never be forgotten.

Paid-On-Call Division
There are 13 members of the Paid-On-Call
division which supplement the
fulltime staff. These personnel
included, Assistant Chief, Fire
Marshal and 11 members with varying
degrees of certifications. All
POC members work other fulltime
jobs, yet find time to support
the Village of University Park
by responding to emergencies within
the Village and surrounding communities.
Many personnel of this division
will go on to pursue careers in
the fire service, either with
the department or elsewhere. Many
of our current career staff where
once members of this division
and went on to make a career in
the fire service.
