The “Citizen Police Academy” (CPA) is not designed to make applicants certified police officers. The “CPA” is designed to increase public awareness, and understanding of the police department’s functions (administration), and law enforcements role within society. The goal also fosters bridging police relations with the community through cooperative partnerships. Note: All applicants must have valid proof of state or federal identification to receive an application. A criminal background check will be conducted and participants must be able to successfully pass to be enrolled in academy. Q. & A. forms will be attached to the application packets for general information.
